Towel Folding 101...
A few months ago, the Big Guy and I got into a tiff over folding sheets.
Silly argument.....yes.
Important for one's sanity.....yes.
Realizing that guys don't give a hoot about folded sheets....yes.

I finally told the Big Guy that he just needs to suck it up and fold the sheets and towels if they're in the dryer and need to be folded. This isn't just a Kelley task.

Tonight, he pulled out the sheets and towels and started to fold them. I was taking a photos of the recently donated items for our silent auction and I looked over to see him folding a towel. I had to stop him because I may not care about the sheets, but I do care about the towels. I know. I'm a dork.

I showed him how I wanted it folded. When I was done it looked like this:

He then continued to fold the sheets and towels and I look over and see this:

Which caused me to grab the camera. Which caused the Big Guy to say, "You are not going to blog about this!"

So, I took said photos and I noticed him trying to fold the fitted sheet. I walked him through the fitted sheet folding. I then said, "Come on! We'll do a step-by-step for all the bachelors out there!" Which then resulted in this photo:

So much for the step by step sheet folding.

Seriously though. I adore him for sucking it up and just folding the sheets. But it cracks me up that Mr. National Honor Society and mega-high IQ can't fold a fitted sheet.

I'll still keep him. I heart you Big Guy!

I know how to fold a towel into a well-known male body part... in case you ever have room for more of those in the townhouse. :) Just let me know. I can give lessons over lunch if you need them.

Oh stop it. You know I'm probably your most NOT particularly P.C. friend.

I gotta say, fitted sheets are hard to do, or at least they were til I started my new method of "rolling them into a ball/craming them into the closet/shutting the door really fast.

Which is just slight step above the "just don't bother to do the laundry so then you won't have to fold crap" method.

These are real methods approved by Good Housekeeping I tell ya, they are on Wikipedia and everything.

I know my husband could not fold a fitted sheet. I can barely do it. But its definitely nice when they try!

HA HA! I have the same argument with hubby about the towels! I have even re-made the bed after he has done it! There is something to be said for doing it right and just doing it!

Hmmm... kudos to the Big Guy for trying. My guy...puts his dirty clothes IN the basket (thank you G). I do the laundry...fold the laundry... and he puts it away. I don't mind doing laundry and can fold a fitted sheet into perfection without blinking an eye. I absolutely refuse to all the stuff up stairs and put it away.

Yes me and my husband also have this row, at our last wedding anniversary we bought new gorgeous bamboo bath towels and he just leaves them lying on the floor so I always put them out to dry and fold them lovingly onto our heated towel rack and he does them same thing everyday. MEN!
