It had been 16 years since I last saw him and it was like we just talked yesterday. Josh and I went to UND and he was my sidekick on many occasions. He gave me rides to Target when I needed it....we studied together at Perkins (if you call drinking bottomless glasses of Coke and chatting studying)....he would chat with me about his really shy girlfriend, Julie....we were in many of the same student organizations together...he even helped me with my photography class--a SLIDE photography class:
This was a photo, printed from the slide I took of Josh.
This was one of those, "smile!" photos, with no timing, no set up, nothing.
My photography instructor's comment (I still remember it!):
"WOW! Look at how that blue 'pops' against that yellow slide!"
I was lucky to squeak out a "B" in that class.
Lesson learned...art classes are not "easy A's".
This has always been one of my favorite photos...
And Monday I have a new one for my fridge and office.....
Thanks, Josh for a great meal at Serious Pie, letting me chat up a storm with your wife Monica, and remembering that true friendships are the best friendships to have....even if you did call me old and asked if 5 minutes was enough time for me to roll my wheelchair down to the lobby.
Smartass...

Aw, so nice. I love it when friendships like this last, and when they feel just as great as before.
Can you tell I'm trying to catch up on your blog since I know I'm going to be seeing you soon?!
I have become a terrible blog reader.
