Kitchen Sink of Blog Posts #(who knows)....

We are under a heat advisory today where the heat index will be 105 degrees. Let me just say that standing at the bus stop today at 4:15 p.m. with that hot bus exhaust will be a real treat for the afternoon.

Speaking of treats, I am in love with the Kemps Yogurt Cups. These little desserts are just enough to give you an ice-cream treat, but without all the guilt. They are currently 10/$10 at the grocery store that I refuse to shop at. Yes. I did go in and get these. But only these.

Is it bad that yesterday while riding the bus through downtown I did a double take at a very good looking construction worker who was nothing but muscles, very tan and wearing his safety vest as a shirt? Is it hot in here? Whew...

The auction is going great and my friend Ruggs is not going to be outdone this year. I am also in a slight bidding war with another UND girl. I want those soaps, Korrin!!

The Big Guy and I have started looking into the adoption process. Two words: overwhelming and expensive

Tomorrow Amy and I head to St Paul where she will be part of a video production of breast cancer survivors. I'm going with as cheerleader/photographer. Photos on the blog later this week (Amy will LOVE that....).

I'm off to check out the auction and see if Korrin trumped my bid. You should stop by too!

Congratulations on starting the adoption process! I think that's wonderful! There's a child out there somewhere who is going to be blessed beyond measure. So it's expensive... You may as well get used to it early, because nothing about children is cheap! :) Hang in there. You will not regret it.

Yes... adoption process is very long & VERY EXPENSIVE!!! Anxious to see how this goes for you!

I've never heard of that yogurt... going to have to see if we have it here... anything to beat this heat!

Awh...that's cool. I'll bet some kid will be lucky to have you and the big guy as parents. I actually have three friends that adopted..one adopted three siblings from Korea (about 14 years ago) another adopted a one year old from Russia and the third adopted three siblings as teenagers after being foster parents. Lots of trials and tribulations but more satisfaction. GOOD LUCK!! Hey did the quilt sell? I would love one!

Holy Heck that is HOT!!! Ugh...

It isn't wrong to look at hunky guys especially if you keep your single friends in mind (maybe I should give you my phone number...I'm willing to re-locate!!).... :)

Adoption is wonderful! I was adopted 34 years ago and just two weeks ago received a letter from my birth mother whom I've been looking for for the last few years...hopefully we will meet soon! You will be an awesome Momma!
