I'm taking a half day off today to prepare for our bonfire this weekend. It's going to be a small gathering, which is OK. I've decided to put invitations into the mailboxes of the houses directly around us to invite them over. I figure that is a nice way to meet our neighbors and to apologize for the fact that our dog has found her voice.
(really. we're working on it)
Anyway, today's question is very sweet....
Q&A of the Day, October 11th
What makes you feel wonderful?
Oh. So many things make me feel wonderful. Like:
- Good conversations with friends
- When my husband calls me beautiful (even when I don't feel it)
- A fresh haircut and color
- Getting a compliment at work for a job well done
- Fitting into clothing that is a smaller size
- Completing a to-do list
and so much more!
Lately, my feeling of wonderful is just driving down my street. Our house is on a street with LOTS of mature trees that are turning colors. They create a canopy over the road, and it's almost cozy. I love that. I love that I live on a street with good neighbors, people who feel safe enough to walk their dog and play with the kids, and don't mind that the leaves from their neighbors trees blow into their yard in the fall.
That, friends, is a wonderful feeling.
